Pesticide
Action Burlington is a citizen’s group concerned with the health
and environmental effects of the use of pesticides.
We are asking Burlington City Council to pass a by-law to ban
the cosmetic use of pesticides in the City of Burlington. The
City of Oakville recently passed such a by-law, effective January
2008. We would like to see the same by-law with the same timeline
passed in Burlington.
To
contact us or get involved, please email Kurt
Koster.
Most
of all, our mayor and city councilors need to hear how important
anti-pesticide legislation is to the residents of Burlington.
Please send your emails of support to:
Mayor: Cam Jackson;
Ward1: Rick Craven;
Ward2: Peter Thoem;
Ward3: John Taylor;
Ward4: Jack Dennison;
Ward5: Rick Goldring;
Ward6: Carol D'Amelio
